
About Nicole Marra
Nicole acquired her physiotherapy degree in Vienna, Austria in 2005. She is focused on a holistic approach to physiotherapy, post-surgical rehabilitation, injury prevention and applied exercise training. Nicole has completed courses in visceral manipulation, myo-fascial release techniques, pelvic floor/women’s health rehabilitation, IMS (intramuscular stimulation), acupuncture and psychosomatic experiencing as well as Biomagnetic Pair Therapy. She believes that learning never stops and is excited to continue specializing within physiotherapy.
She has completed post-graduate work that certifies her to assess and treat women’s health issues such as pelvic pain, incontinence, sexual dysfunction, prolapse, and pelvic floor rehabilitation in women.
She is skilled in treating low back and neck pain, whiplash, injuries from car accidents, TMJ disfunction, perinatal and postpartum aches, as well as a wide variety of sports related injuries. She has obtained her Acupuncture (AFCI) certification in 2012 and IMS (intramuscular stimulation) in 2017 and uses needling in combination with manual techniques and targeted exercises to help her patients on their path to recovery. Her empathetic therapy approach is a unique blend of European and North American treatments.
Nicole is staying active by lifting weights, enjoying her favourite martial art capoeira, Belly dancing, dancing samba, salsa and bachata. She enjoys spending time with her four kids being out in nature, bike riding around Vancouver, and practising yoga.
